This post originally started out as a way for me to answer what I thought was a simple question: “what caused the most recent conflict in Gaza between Israelis and Palestinians?” Traditional wisdom in America generally follows the same logic time and time again — namely, that Arabs hate Israel’s existence, therefore the Palestinian terrorists are trying to wipe it off the face of the earth.
